Nonprofit Evaluation Support Program (NESP)
The Nonprofit Evaluation Support Program (NESP) is dedicated to enhancing the program evaluation capacity of nonprofit organizations, with a particular focus on those located in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina. Recognizing the vital role of evaluation in understanding organizational effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement, and assessing progress toward intended outcomes, NESP supports nonprofits in implementing and sustaining meaningful evaluation practices.
Founded in 2014 through a collaborative partnership among SERVE, UNC Greensboro, and the Guilford Nonprofit Consortium, NESP works closely with regional nonprofits to identify and apply the most effective strategies for evaluation support.
Supported by the Institute for Community and Economic Engagement (ICEE), and drawing on the extensive expertise of SERVE staff and UNC Greensboro faculty and students, NESP delivers high-quality evaluation services to a diverse array of organizations. This work not only strengthens the capacity and impact of nonprofits across the region but also provides valuable, hands-on learning experience for emerging professionals in nonprofit management and program evaluation.
