Early Childhood Trauma and Homelessness

Description: Third in the three-part Supporting Young Children Experiencing Homelessness series presented by NCHE and the Ounce of Prevention Fund, an organization that focuses solely on ensuring quality experiences for all children aged 0-5, especially those born into poverty.

This session will provide an overview of early childhood trauma and how it impacts young children – especially those experiencing homelessness. Presenters will discuss trauma-informed practice and review specific interventions and resources. Participants can ask questions and will learn strategies they can implement when working with and on behalf of young children who have experienced trauma and homelessness.
