Serving Young Children Experiencing Homelessness under the McKinney-Vento Act

Description: First in the three-part Supporting Young Children Experiencing Homelessness series presented by NCHE and the Ounce of Prevention Fund, an organization that focuses solely on ensuring quality experiences for all children aged 0-5, especially those born into poverty.

This session will set the context for the series by explaining the McKinney-Vento Act requirements related to identifying, enrolling, and transporting young children and good strategies for implementation. Participants will not only hear strategies from presenters but also have the opportunity to ask questions, share any successful practices, and learn from each other.
