Dr. Kim Anderson is the Director of Partnerships and Policy for the National Center for Homeless Education at the SERVE Center at UNCG. She facilitates NCHE’s federal projects, builds partnerships, and helps to lead the development of technical assistance and resources for the field. Prior to joining SERVE, Kim worked for the Southern Regional Education Board, providing state education and workforce development leaders with research, policy analysis, and technical assistance. At the Institute of Education Sciences Regional Educational Laboratory – Southeast, Kim collaborated with state education agency leaders on the use of data and research in a wide range of policy areas. Kim has also held positions as adjunct university professor, school improvement coach, and program evaluator. She began her career as an elementary school teacher and this experience informs her work to this day.
